JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - FGCU's Anjali Kotecha earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Women's Tennis honor, announced Wednesday by the league office.
Kotecha claimed victories in three Singles matches as well as one Doubles match. She defeated No. 32 Yale's Mirabelle Brettkelly 7-5, 7-6 (6) from court 3. She defeated the now ranked No. 42 South Alabamas number 3 opponent in doubles with her partner Francisa Vergara. In the freshmans first match at the top flight, she earned a victory for the Eagles over St. Johns with a 7-6 (6-4), 6-2 score.
