JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Lipscomb's Mariia Dolzhenko earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Women's Tennis honor, announced Wednesday by the league office.
In matches against Bellarmine and Austin Peay, Mariia Dolzhenko notched a perfect 4-0 week competing from courts No. 1 and No. 2. Against the Knights, the sophomore earned a Doubles win (6-1) at the top flight with partner Sofiia Paladi followed by a straight-set Singles win (6-2, 6-0) on court No. 2. Against Austin Peay, she recorded a Singles victory (6-4, 6-2) over the Governors' top competitor, to help clinch the match for the Bisons. The Ukraine native improves to 9-1 on the season, continuing a seven-game win streak.
