JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The FGCU, Jacksonville and Queens' Men's Basketball programs are all set to compete in the 2025 College Basketball Invitational at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach on March 22-26.
The 2025 CBI is a single-elimination, fully-bracketed men’s basketball postseason tournament featuring 12 teams from across the country competing for a championship in Florida. The field consists of teams not selected for the NCAA Tournament.
FGCU earned the #3 seed in the ASUN Championship and hosted a tournament game inside Alico Arena for the first time since 2022. The Eagles went 13-5 in ASUN play with an 8-1 record on their home floor. Head Coach Jordan Mincy led the Dolphins to the semifinals of the league tournament for the third time in four seasons. Jacksonville was the #4 seed after recording a 12-6 conference record. The Royals had their most successful season since transitioning to Division I after posting a 19-14 overall record with an 11-7 mark in conference. After eliminating the Eagles in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament, Queens fell to the eventual ASUN Champion Lipscomb by six points in the semifinals.
The Royals get CBI First Round action started on March 23 when they battle Northern Arizona at 4 PM. On March 24 at 2 PM, the Eagles have a quarterfinal matchup with the winner of a first-round game between Army and Elon. At 6:30 PM on the 24th, the Dolphins face Cleveland State in another quarterfinal contest. The first round and quarterfinal games stream on FloSports. The semifinals take place on March 25 and are available for viewing on ESPNU. The 2025 CBI Champion is crowned on March 26 at 5 PM on ESPN2.
