JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida's Laurie Barendse earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Women's Tennis honor, announced Wednesday by the league office.
In the Ospreys' matches against Bellarmine and Presbyterian, Barendse defeated her Singles opponents in straight sets 6-0, 6-2 and 6-3, 6-3, respectively. She helped lead UNF to a 7-0 sweep over the Knights in the opening weekend of conference play. In Doubles, the junior notched a pair of victories from Courts No. 1 and No. 2 with partners Alisa Lyshko (6-2) and Anslee Long (6-4).
