KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Liberty tallied 858.5 points and set five meet records en route to its seventh straight Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Women's Swimming and Diving Championship. FGCU finished in second place with 690 points, and Queens placed third with 644.5 points to round out the top three.
Liberty's Kamryn Cannings and Queens' Abigail Zboran tied with 60 points to earn Most Outstanding Swimmer of the Championship honors. Cannings took home individual victories in the 50-Yard Freestyle, 100-Yard Butterfly and 100-Yard Freestyle, while Zboran captured the 200-Yard Individual Medley, 400-Yard Individual Medley and 200-Yard Butterfly titles.
The Lady Flames swept the rest of the individual honors with Shannon Icard being named the Most Outstanding Diver, Aly Bozzuto claiming Most Outstanding Freshman Performer and the coaching duo of Jake Shellenberger and Samantha Pickens earning Swimming Coach of the Year and Diving Coach of the Year, respectively.
