Atlantic Sun Conference Cross Country Championships to Take Place Friday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., – The 2025 Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Cross Country Championships takes place at Cecil Field in Jacksonville, Fla., this Friday. All of the league's Men's and Women's squads are set to compete to earn the first two trophies of the conference's fall championship slate.

The action begins at 8:15 AM ET with Lipscomb looking to claim its fourth-consecutive ASUN Women's Cross Country title. The Bisons earned seven of the top-10 finishes in the 2024 Championship with 16 points which was good for a 53-point margin of victory over the second-place team. With last year’s top three finishers graduated, Harley Kletz, who placed fourth in 2024 (16:44.2), looks to lead Lipscomb to their twelfth ASUN crown.

The Men's race gets underway at 9:00 AM ET with EKU also having its sights set on a fourth-consecutive team victory. The Colonels are led by last year's individual runner-up Taha Er Raouy, who crossed the finish line at the 23:45.0 mark. North Alabama's Brian Bett, who won last year's 8K at 23:29.6, looks to become the 11th student-athlete to win back-to-back Runner of the Year honors.
