Two Colonels Earn All-American Honors

COLUMBIA, Mo.,  - Brian Kimutai and Taha Er Raouy wrapped up the 2025 Cross Country season as All-Americans after placing 21st and 30th, respectively, at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships at Gans Creek in Columbia, Mo., on Saturday. 

Kimutai was the first Colonel to cross the finish line with a time of 28:53.8. Early in the regular season, EKU competed at Gans Creek and the freshman placed 33rd. At the Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Championship, he earned runner-up honors behind fellow Colonel, Taha Er Raouy.

The 2025 ASUN Individual Champion, Er Raouy, earned a top-30 finish in the National Championship as the second EKU participant to finish. He clocked a 29:00.5 to help the Colonels to a ninth-place overall finish. EKU's performance was historic, as it marked the programs highest finish at the National Championships to date.
