ATLANTA – Austin Peay's Patton Samuels and EKU's Connor Gdovin earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Golf honor, announced Thursday by the league office.
Samuels earned Golfer of the Week honors after shooting a bogey-free, 15-under 201 to win the Golfweek Fall Challenge. The junior transfer won the tournament by two shots and led Austin Peay to a third-place finish and a team score of 17-under 847. Gdovin earned Golfer of the Week after he tied for first in his EKU debut with Ben Loomis of Vanderbilt, shooting a seven-under. The Mayfield, Ohio, native led EKU to a 24-under team win at the Colonel Shootout.
