EKU, KSU and Queens Capture Medals to Highlight Day 2 of Track and Field Championship

CONWAY, Ark. - Through two days of action at the Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championship, Kennesaw State holds the lead with a team total of 83 points. EKU sits in second with 44 points, followed by Queens in third with 43.

The Owls claimed two gold medals in the second day of action as Anthony Harrison won the Discus with a toss of 55.21m while teammate Jeremiah Sims earned first in the Long Jump (7.40m). Queens' Job van Keulen recorded a total of 7288 points to win the Decathlon. The Colonels were highlighted by Kristian Imroth who took home the gold in the 3,000m Steeplechase with a time of 8:50.81 to wrap up the second day of events. 

The 2024 Championship concludes on Saturday with the final four field events being decided: Javelin, Triple Jump, Pole Vault and Shot Put. The final 10 running events will also be decided on the meet's last day, starting with the 4x100 Relay at 6 PM CT and ending with the 4x400m Relay at 8:45 PM CT. The awards presentation follows at 9:10 PM CT.
