ATLANTA - Queens' Sophia Lange was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Swimming & Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year, announced Monday by the league office. Lange was one of 13 individuals named to the Academic All-ASUN Team.
Lange became the first student-athlete in Queens' program history to earn the honor after recording a cumulative GPA of 4.0 while majoring in International Studies. At the ASUN Championship, Lange earned a pair of first-place finishes in the 1650-Yard Free and the 500-Yard Free. The Burlington, N.C. native was also a part of a program-record-breaking 800-Yard Free Relay that recorded a time of 7:12.87 at the 2024 ASUN Championships
