KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Liberty Flames tallied 897.5 points to claim the 2024 Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Swimming & Diving Championship at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center in Knoxville, Tenn. Queens finished the event in second place with 792 points while FGCU was third with 579.5 points.
Queens' Danielle Melilli tallied 60 points, earning individual victories in the 50-Yard Freestyle and 100-Yard Breaststroke, to be named Most Outstanding Swimmer of the Championship. The Flames' Maddie Freece earned Most Outstanding Diver of the Championship after earning gold in the 3-Meter competition. Liberty's Kamryn Cannings and the Royals' Abigail Zboran were named the Most Outstanding Freshmen Performers. Liberty's Jake Shellenberger was selected as the 2024 Coach of the Year by his fellow head coaches around the league while the Flames' Andrew Helmich earned the Diving Coach of the Year honor.
