ATLANTA - Jacksonville's Allison Bratek (Player) and EKU's Maddi Rutan (Pitcher) earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference Softball honors, announced Monday by the league office.
Softball Player of the Week
Allison Bratek, Jacksonville
Senior | St. Johns, Fla.
- First Career ASUN Player of the Week award; 14th for the Jacksonville program
- Recorded seven hits in 12 at-bats for a .583 batting average for the Dolphins
- Hit two home runs over opening weekend, two shy of her career-high in a single season
- Added another five RBI, three doubles and 16 total bases in four games
- Posted a slugging percentage of 1.333 and an on-base percentage of .643

- Recorded a perfect game in the season opener as EKU defeated Wofford 9-0
- Threw for six innings and produced eight strikeouts in her first collegiate appearance
- Earned a win in relief against Robert Morris with six strikeouts in four innings
- Helped EKU to its first 4-0 start to a season since the 2003 campaign
