JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The EKU Colonels finished first overall to earn the 2024 Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Cross Country Championship title, marking the third consecutive crown for the Colonels. For the first time in program history, North Alabama claimed both the Runner and Freshman of the Year as Brian Bett won the race.
Bett crossed the finish line with his winning time of 23:29.6 while EKU's Taha Er Raouy finished runner-up clocking a time of 23:35.0. The Colonels' Tomas Vega and German Vega finished third and fourth, respectively, while Lipscomb's Braedon Palmer placed fifth. EKU's Mario Prieo Montero and North Florida's Seth Martinez rounded out the First Team All-ASUN squad, placing sixth and seventh, respectively.
After leading his team to its third-straight title, EKU's Cory Erdmann won his third Coach of the Year award.
