JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – FGCU's Izzy Ackley and Bailey Betzer and Liberty's Maddie Freece claimed this week's Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Swimming and Diving honors, announced Wednesday by the league office.
Ackley earned Swimmer of the Week recognition after finishing in the top five in all five individual events she competed in, including three first place finishes (100 Back, 100 IM, 200 Back). She was also a part of teams that finished first in the 200 Medley relay, second in the 400 Medley Relay, and third in the 200 Freestyle Relay.
Betzer placed first on 1-Meter (263.05) and second on the 3-Meter (253.90) at the Eagle Invitational. Freece won the 1-Meter (239.70) for Liberty and finished second in the 3-Meter (222.68) against Tulane.
