JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Liberty's Aly Bozzuto and Mary Herndon claimed this week's Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Swimming and Diving honors, announced Wednesday by the league office.
Bozzuto won all four individual events and both relays in which she competed in Liberty's season-opening tri-meet against Air Force and Omaha. The freshman became the first Liberty swimmer since 2018 to win two individual events in her first collegiate meet after winning Friday's 50-Yard Freestyle (23.60) and 100-Yard Breaststroke (1:03.80). She added two more individual wins the next day in the both the 50-Yard Freestyle (23.72) and 100-Yard Freestyle (51.61).
Herndon finished eighth on 1-Meter (212.00 points) and fifth on 3-Meter (229.05) at Friday's meet. She returned on Saturday with a third-place showing on 3-Meter with a score of 227.60 and a seventh-place finish on 1-Meter (210.70).
