Beiler, Hanger & Kile Earn Women's Soccer Weekly Honors

ATLANTA – Lipscomb's Kelli Beiler (Player), Katia Hanger (Defensive Player) and Sara Kile (Goalkeeper) were awarded their respective honors on Tuesday afternoon following the league office's announcement of the Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Soccer weekly honors.


Women's Soccer Player of the Week
Kelli Beiler, Lipscomb
Graduate | Forward | Mount Pleasant Mills, Pa.
- Fifth Career ASUN Player of the Week honor; 19th overall accolade as a program for Lipscomb
- Scored two goals, one apiece at North Florida and Jacksonville
- Converted her PK against the Ospreys; attempt stood as the match's game-winning goal
- Has now recorded a goal and at least two shots in the last four matches
- Is tied for first in the NCAA for game-winning goals; stands as the conference's leading goal-scorer

Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Katia Hanger, Lipscomb

Senior | Defender | Alpharetta, Ga.
- Second Career ASUN Defensive Player of the Week award; 18th overall honor as a program for Lipscomb 
- Orchestrated a Lipscomb defense that held off the Ospreys' 11 shots to record its fourth shutout win
- Was a key piece of the Bisons' defense that held the Dolphins to just three shots in the match
- Made a backward header on a corner kick (58th minute) to score her second career goal in the 5-0 win over JAX
- Her defensive acumen and slide tackles served as a key piece in Lipscomb's defense

Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week
Sara Kile, Lipscomb
Sophomore | Goalkeeper | Noblesville, Ind.

- First Career ASUN Goalkeeper of the Week selection; third overall accolade as a program for the Bisons
- Logged two dominating performances for Lipscomb this week without allowing a single goal
- Faced 14 shots and recorded six saves against two ASUN opponents
- Is tied for 88th in the nation in total saves (40) and 52nd in the nation for shutouts (4) 
- Delivered five saves against North Florida to keep the Ospreys from scoring
