Five Set to Represent Women's Outdoor #ASUNTF in Austin at NCAA Championship

ATLANTA - Five ASUN Conference Women's Outdoor Track and Field individuals are set to compete at the NCAA Track and Field Championship in Austin, Texas starting on Thursday, June 8, at the Mike A. Myers Stadium. Kennesaw State is sending two athletes while Jacksonville, Liberty and Lipscomb will be represented by one.  

KSU's Kali Terza was the first of the five to punch her ticket to Austin, doing so on Thursday after she landed a toss at 64.11m in the Hammer Throw. Fellow Owl Sarah Hendrick placed fourth overall in the 800-Meter to earn her third consecutive trip back to the NCAA Track and Field Championship. The 2023 ASUN 3,000-Meter Steeplechase winner, Calli Doan clocked a 10:02.59 in her heat to become the first Flame to compete in the event at Nationals. JAX's Kristi Snyman is set to make her second appearance on the big stage after she cleared 1.82m in the High Jump. The Bisons will be represented by Lydia Miller in the 5,000-Meter in Austin as she becomes the first to compete at the Championship in the event since 2008 (Lauren Weaver, Belmont). 

Terza will get things started on Thursday in the Hammer Throw Finals starting at 3:30 PM CT. Doan will hit the track first in the 3,000-Meter Steeplechase Semifinals at 8:02 PM CT while Hendrick closes out the opening day at the Outdoor Track and Field Championship in the 800-Meter at 9:14 PM CT. On Saturday, Snyman kicks off the events for ASUN athletes at 7:30 PM CT in the High Jump Finals. Miller of will run in the 5,000-Meter Final at 9:55 PM CT to close out the championship. Doan and Hendrick will run at 8:24 PM CT and 9:14 PM CT if they advance to the Finals in the Steeplechase and 800.
