KSU's Hendrick, Liberty's Mojica, Lipscomb's Jackson Claim Women's Outdoor #ASUNTF Championship Honors
ATLANTA, Ga. - Three Women's Outdoor Track & Field student-athletes landed the final set of awards from the 2022 ASUN Conference Championship as Kennesaw State's Sarah Hendrick, Liberty's Naomi Mojica and Lipscomb's Bella Jackson captured the championship accolades, announced Friday by the league office.
Hendrick previously won the Championship's Most Valuable Performer honor at the conference meet while Kennesaw State's Cale McDaniel earned the Coach of the Year honor after leading his team to its third title in program history. Hendrick was also awarded the Most Outstanding Track Performer as Mojica and Jackson claimed the Most Outstanding Field Performer and Most Outstanding Freshman honors, respectively.

Hendrick claimed the Most Outstanding Track Performer after leading all athletes with 22 total points at the conference championship. The MVP claimed a pair of gold medals in the 800m and 1,500m clocking times of 2:06.03 and 4:24.62, respectively. Her finish time of 2:04.43 in the 800m trials set a new ASUN Championship meet record while she also ran a leg of KSU's 4x400m relay team that placed second with a season-best time of 3:42.32.
Most Outstanding Field Performer Mojica also won a pair of gold medals at the conference championship in the Shot Put and Hammer Throw. Mojica became the first individual since 2016 to win both of those events at the conference championship. The senior became just the second student-athlete in league history to claim the ASUN Championship's Shot Put title three times.
Jackson earned the Most Outstanding Freshman honor after taking home the title in the High Jump at the meet to become just the second student-athlete in Lipscomb program history to accomplish the feat. The Whiteland, Ind., native recorded a new outdoor personal record in the High Jump with a mark of 1.79m to take home gold at the conference championship.
