ATLANTA, Ga. - The ASUN Conference's Lunch Box series, hosted by Director of Social Media Kendrell Watkins, continues for the 2020-21 season. In the series, Watkins catches up with coaches and student-athletes throughout the academic year. Nov. 6 | North Florida's Jazz Bond
This week's installment features North Florida forward Jazz Bond as she was voted ASUN Women's Basketball Preseason Player and Defensive Player of the Year. The redshirt senior became the Osprey's career leader in blocked shots. Bond also ranked in the top-15 nationally in blocked shots and blocks per game.
As an Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholar Award nominee, Bond excelled on the court as well as off of it earning recognition for her academic and community service efforts. The ASUN Conference also recognized Bond as an ASUN Winner for Life as she has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, the Salvation Army and the Humane Society. The graduate student speaks on the Lunch Box about balancing student-athlete responsibilities and adding a post presence to her game.
