All-Academic Team

MACON, Ga. - North Florida's Justin Bryan claims the ASUN Men's Outdoor Track and Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year award for the second straight season, after sharing the honor last spring. Bryan owns a 3.98 GPA as a senior health science major. 

At the ASUN Outdoor Track and Field Championship, Bryan finished fifth in the 10,000 meter race for the Ospreys. He is joined by twin brother Jeremy Bryan on the All-Academic Team, a fellow health science major. Bobby Harris is UNF's third selection, a sophomore biology major owning a 3.65 GPA. 

Lipscomb leads all squads with four selections, including Daniel Lenart, Wayne Newman, Kade Hinkle and Devon Wade. Lenart is a junior exercise science major with a 3.86 GPA, while Newman a top hurdler in the league, is a nursing major who boasts a 3.45 GPA.. Hinkle earns his first All-Academic Team nod as an exercise science major with a 3.88 GPA, while Wade is a junior molecular biology with a 3.79 GPA.

NJIT owns three All-Academic Team selections in Timothy Daudelin, Alex Ortega and Jason Poppe. Ortega and Daudelin both earned nods on the Indoor Track and Field squads, while Poppe makes his first appearance as a senior civil engineering major. Daudelin, a senior from Hackettstown, N.J. is a biology major owning a 3.96 GPA, while Ortega is a mechanical engineering major with a 3.71 GPA. 

Both Kennesaw State and USC Upstate earned one student-athlete each on the All-Academic Team in Joseph Yates and Logan Ray respectively. Yates was named Co-Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the indoor season, while Ray earns his first All-Academic Team selection as a sophomore with a 3.75 GPA.
