JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Queens and EKU earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Baseball honors, announced Monday by the league office.
Gryason Childers was named Player of the Week. He led Queens' offense during the 2-2 week that saw the Royals defeat Duke 11-7 on the road. He posted a .500 batting average along with eight runs, seven hits and six RBI. The firstbaseman recroded three homeruns on the week, two of which came against the Blue Devils.
Jacob Price earned the Pitcher of the Week accolade for the second consecutive week. He threw seven innings and notched a 1.29 ERA after facing 26 batters. Price allowed just one run while holding the Austin Peay Governors to a 2.00 opponent batting average.
