Atlantic Sun Conference Announces 2025 Basketball Tipoff in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) announced Wednesday plans for its 2025 Basketball Tipoff. The event showcases the league's Men's and Women's Basketball programs and will be held in Downtown Jacksonville, Fla., on Oct. 19 and 20, with support from Visit Jacksonville.

"We look forward to welcoming our student-athletes and coaches to Jacksonville, home of the 2026 Atlantic Sun Conference Tournaments," said ASUN Commissioner Jeff Bacon. "This early season celebration of basketball serves as the launching pad for what should be another exciting season, culminating with a first class tournament experience."

The 2025 ASUN Basketball Tipoff attendees include two student-athletes and the head coach from each of the league's Men's and Women's Basketball programs. This marks the third edition of the fall showcase following the events in 2023 (Clarksville, Tenn.) and 2024 (Charlotte, N.C.). Live content from the event will be featured on the ASUN's social media platforms throughout the day on Monday, Oct. 20. Preseason shows for Men's and Women's Basketball will also be filmed to stream live on ESPN+ Tuesday, Oct. 28.

The 2026 ASUN Men's Basketball Tournament is scheduled for March 4, 6, 7 & 8 with the Women's Tournament occurring on March 3, 5, 7 & 9. Both tournament’s first rounds take place on campus sites. The quarterfinals through championship finals are being held at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, located downtown, providing an elite championship experience for ASUN student-athletes, families, and fans and elevating the profile of ASUN Basketball. VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena remains a top destination for sports and entertainment in northeast Florida. The Men's Championship Final broadcasts live on ESPN2 with the Women's title game set for its first-ever linear broadcast on ESPNU.
