Lipscomb Claims Top Spot in 2025 Women's Cross Country Preseason Coaches Poll



JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Lipscomb looks to hoist the championship trophy for the fourth consecutive year this upcoming season after earning the top spot in the 2025 Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Women's Cross Country Coaches Poll, the league office announced on Wednesday.

EKU's Edna Chelulei was tabbed the 2025 Preseason Runner of the Year. In the Spring, the distance runner was named ASUN Most Outstanding Freshman Performer and claimed gold in the 5K at the ASUN Outdoor Track and Field Championship, clocking a 16:17.73. The Bisons earned 10 first place votes and 142 points. EKU, which earned two first place votes, shares the second place with North Florida, each earning a total of125 points. Central Arkansas landed in fourth place tallying 107 points. The Bears are followed by FGCU in fifth place with 87 points. Bellarmine earned 79 points to round out the top six.
