Colonels Slated as 2025 Men's Cross Country Preseason Favorites



JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – EKU looks to claim its fourth consecuitve Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Men's Cross Country Championship victory after being unanimously tabbed as the favorite in the 2025 Men's Cross Country Coaches Poll, the league office announced on Wednesday.

The Colonels' Justine Kipkoech earned the Preseason Runner of the Year honor after placing second at last years' Southeast Regionals, clocking a 29:44.1 on the 10K course. EKU claimed all 12 first place votes for a total of 144 points while North Florida and Lipscomb share the second place spot, each with 124. Bellarmine (106), North Alabama (90) and Central Arkansas (79) rounded out the top half of the poll.
