JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - FGCU and North Alabama combined to earn superlative recognitions and highlight the 2025 Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Beach Volleyball postseason honors, announced Wednesday by the league office.
The North Alabama duo of Katy Floyd and Selma Robinson earned the program's first Pair of the Year honor after going 20-8 during the regular season. The duo competed at the top flight for the Lions and went on a six dual win streak earning wins against ULM, SEMO, South Florida, UT Martin, New Orleans and EKU. The senior and junior pair also earned a ranked win against the duo from conference opponent No. 16 North Florida.
FGCU's Alexis Keeter went 22-8 overall includuing a 6-2 record agaisnt ASUN opponents to secure the Freshman of the Year honor. She began the season on the No. 4 court before moving up to Court 2 to compete alongside Ava Lilliquist. Keeter recorded five ranked wins on the season and notched 17 sweeps.
2025 Coach of the Year Chris Sweat led the FGCU Eagles to a 19-11 overall record, going 6-2 against conference opponents and ended the regular season ranked No. 18 in the AVCA Collegiate Beach Volleyball Poll. Sweat recorded his 100th career victory this season when the Eagles defeated Tulane. Under his leadership, the team recorded four ranked wins including No. 14 FIU, No. 15 FAU twice, and No. 20 Georgia State.
