JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – EKU's Maddi Rutan and FGCU's Allison Sparkman earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Softball honors, announced Monday by the league office.

Rutan notched eight RBIs in two games agaisnt Purdue Fort Wayne and forced Indiana State to walk her six times over two games. In her seven plate appearances, she recorded six hits, improving her batting averge to .435% and her slugging percentage to .823. The sophomore is currently one home run short of her last year's total after just 22 games. Sparkman pitched two complete shutout games against Columbia and Toledo winning 8-0, and 3-0. The Eagles also defeated Saint Francis 9-1. She is currently on a 12.1 scorless inning streak with a 0.389 ERA on the week.
