BU's Alie and Macdonald Claim Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honors

ATLANTA – Bellarmine's John Alie (Player) and Denton Macdonald (Defensive Player) earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Lacrosse honors, announced Tuesday by the league office.

John Alie, Bellarmine
Sophomore | Attack | Aurora, Colo.
- First Career ASUN Player of the Week selection; fifth honor in Bellarmine program history
- Scored a career-high five goals on nine shots in the Knights win against St. Bonaventure
- Placed seven of his nine total shots on goal during BU's 13-9 triumph
- Added an assist and scooped up a pair of ground balls against the Bonnies
- Led the way in the Knights' first win of 2024 before the team faces Ohio State on Tuesday afternoon

Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week
Denton Macdonald, Bellarmine
Senior | Midfield | Victoria, British Columbia

- First Career ASUN Defensive Player of the Week selection; fifth all-time honor for the Knights
- Recorded a career-high total of six ground balls in Bellarmine's win last Sunday
- Caused five turnovers in the victory which also was a career best
- Added a goal on the offensive end of the field to help the Knights defeat St. Bonaventure
- Returns to action Tuesday afternoon when BU faces off against Big Ten foe Ohio State
