EKU & FGCU Win ASUN Women's Basketball Weekly Awards

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – EKU's Liz Freihofer and FGCU's Emani Jefferson earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Basketball honors, announced Monday by the league office.

Jefferson averaged 15.0 points per game in a 2-1 week for the Eagles to win her first Player of the Week honor of the season. She scored in double digits against Montana State, NC A&T and ETSU while averaging 8.0 rebounds per game. Freihofer helped the Colonels extend their winning streak to nine games with wins against Indiana State and Northern Illinois. One the week, the freshman averaged 17.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 made three-pointers.
