JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Bellarmine's Erin Toller and EKU's Alice Recanati and Liz Freihofer earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Basketball honors, announced Monday by the league office.
Recaniti scored a season-high 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting and 4-for-5 from deep to give the Colonels a 78-49 win on the road against Hawaii Hilo. She also added six assists, three rebounds and a steal in the win. Freihofer scored 11 points with seven rebounds and a block in the road win. The freshman guard helped EKU to its sixth win in a row. Toller hit back-to-back three-pointers, including the game-winning buzzer beater, to help the Knights erase a five-point deficit in 8.3 seconds and defeat Chattanooga. All of her game-high 19 points came in the second half as she scored the 1,000th point of her career and helped secure Head Coach Chancellor Dugan's 500th career win.
