Women's Soccer Weekly Awards Announced; UCA Claims Two Honors

ATLANTA – Central Arkansas' Sydney Brough (Player) and Kajsa Pruner (Goalkeeper) joined Lipscomb's Logan McFadden (Defensive Player) in claiming this week's Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Soccer honors, announced on Tuesday by the league office. 


Women's Soccer Player of the Week
Sydney Brough, Central Arkansas
Graduate Student | Midfielder | Oakville, Ontario, Canada
- First Career ASUN Player of the Week honor; fourth overall accolade as a program for Central Arkansas
- Netted the game-winning goal in the Bears' ASUN opener at Queens in the 64th minute
- Added a brace and an assist in UCA's 5-0 shutout against Kennesaw State at home on Sunday
- Helped the Bears tie a program record for goals in an Atlantic Sun match (5) against the Owls 
- Played a key role going end-to-end to help UCA earn two shutouts to open league play

Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Logan McFadden, Lipscomb

Senior | Defender | Birmingham, Ala. 
- First Career ASUN Defensive Player of the Week award;19th overall honor as a program for the Bisons
- Anchored the Lipscomb backline with 180 minutes on the pitch last week
- Helped hold the Colonels to a single shot in the first half in Thursday night's ASUN opener
- Aided the Bisons' defense in another solid outing, holding Bellarmine to zero shots in the second half
- Played a key role in Lipscomb's two shutouts to start 2-0 in conference play; held EKU and Bellarmine to nine shots combined

Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week
Kajsa Pruner, Central Arkansas
Junior | Goalkeeper | Varnamo, Sweden

- First Career ASUN Goalkeeper of the Week selection; first overall accolade as a program for Bears
- Gave up zero goals across two contests last week to open ASUN play 
- Picked up a total of 10 saves between matchups with Queens (6) and Kennesaw State (4)
- Made a one-on-one save against the Owls, breaking from her line to close the angle to get one of her four saves
- Earned two clean sheets on the week with a 1-0 win against the Royals and a 5-0 shutout of KSU
