The Atlantic Sun Conference Announces SERVPRO as Sponsor of 2023 Basketball Tipoff

ATLANTA - The Atlantic Sun Conference, in conjunction with Austin Peay State University, announced today that SERVPRO will be the title sponsor for the inaugural ASUN Basketball Tipoff on Oct. 16 at the new F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, Tenn.

"Huge thanks to our title sponsor, SERVPRO, for their support of Atlantic Sun Conference student-athletes and our destination-based institutions as we celebrate the start of the 2023-24 Basketball Season!" ASUN Commissioner Jeff Bacon said. "An equally huge thanks to Director of Athletics Gerald Harrison and the Austin Peay family for bringing this opportunity together and serving as host for the first annual ASUN Basketball Tipoff. This partnership is another great example of the team approach to the explosion in growth occurring in the ASUN.”

"I want to thank our friends at SERVPRO for agreeing to be the title sponsor for the inaugural Atlantic Sun Conference Basketball Tipoff at F&M Bank Arena," Austin Peay Director of Athletics Gerald Harrison said. "Brent, Jeff, and ServPro of Montgomery County and the surrounding regions have always been active in the Clarksville Community and are great supporters of Clarksville's Hometown Team. I am excited that they have signed on to ensure that the first ASUN Tipoff will be a memorable one for student-athletes, coaches, and administrators visiting Clarksville – the fastest-growing city in Tennessee."

"We are delighted to expand our support of the local community by partnering with Austin Peay State University and the Atlantic Sun Conference as a proud sponsor of the ASUN Tipoff Media Day," SERVPRO Chief Operations Officer Jeff Truitt said. "At SERVPRO, we understand the power of teamwork, dedication, and the drive to achieve more--values that closely align with those of the Atlantic Sun Conference and the remarkable athletes, coaches, and schools that make up their vibrant community. We are excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring across the region, and the positive impact it will have on Clarksville and other communities the ASUN serves. Together we can inspire and uplift, setting new standards for success, on and off the court."

"Clarksville and Austin Peay State University hold a special place in our hearts," SERVPRO Owner Brent Nicholson said. "Our kids graduated there, our friends and family work there, it's our employees' alma mater. As a business owner, it's a joy to be able to support events like this."

The 2023 ASUN Basketball Tipoff will be highlighted with two separate ESPN+ broadcasts featuring interviews with head coaches and student-athletes from all 12 member institutions. All head coaches in attendance will also be guests on a live edition of the ASUN Gameday podcast to promote their teams entering a new season. The date also marks the release of the ASUN Men's and Women's Basketball preseason honors.
