Men's Basketball Weekly Honors Announced

ATLANTA - North Florida's Chaz Lanier (Player) and Kennesaw State's Frankquon Sherman (Newcomer) earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Basketball honors, announced Monday by the league office.

Chaz Lanier, North Florida
Junior | Guard | Nashville, Tenn.
- First Career ASUN Player of the Week award; 33rd in North Florida program history
- Averaged 16.8 points per game while posting 5.8 rebounds per contest for the Ospreys
- Helped UNF go 2-1 in the First Coast Classic with double-digit scoring efforts in each game
- Notched a 17-point, 10-board double-double in a win against Northwestern State
- Connected on 13 three-pointers over the week, shooting 42.9% from beyond the arc

Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Week
Frankquon Sherman, Kennesaw State
Freshman | Forward | Lincolnton, Ga.
- First Career ASUN Newcomer of the Week award; ninth all-time honor for the Owls
- Helped Kennesaw State to a 2-0 week with a near-double-double average of 17.0 points and 8.0 rebounds
- Shot 66.7% from the floor over the two wins and 88.9% from the charity stripe
- Posted his second double-double of the year with 13 points and a career-high 17 rebounds against Keiser
- Notched a career-best 21 points in the KSU program's first victory against Georgia Southern
