ATLANTA – The Atlantic Sun Conference announced on Friday that North Florida's Ethan Ash highlighted the 11-person 2023 Academic All-ASUN Team.
Ash, a defender, earns his first Academic All-ASUN honor and marks the first Scholar-Athlete of the Year accolade in Ospreys' history. He holds a 4.00 GPA and started in 10 of 11 games played during the 2023 season with 829 total minutes. The redshirt senior scored his first goal as an Osprey against FAU in a 1-1 draw on Sept. 12. The Colorado native played all 90 minutes in eight games this season and has attempted four shots as a defender. He has helped hold down the backline that holds a 1.333 goals-against average which ranks second in the ASUN.
The Academic All-ASUN Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. All members of the team boast a 3.50 cumulative GPA or better and participated in at least half of their team's games.
