Eaker, who serves as Senior Associate Commissioner for Administration, began with the ASUN Conference in July 2014 serving as the Associate Commissioner for Administration and Senior Woman Administrator. Eaker is charged with overseeing the conference’s performance evaluation program (BUILT), both internally and externally; and serves as the Director of Men’s and Women’s Basketball . While Eaker has oversight of the Governance/Member Services and Championships, she serves as the primary liaison for the ASUN Executive Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, Athletics Administrators Committee and Senior Woman Administrators.
Eaker is currently in her final term on the NCAA Committee for Legislative Relief, which she will conclude at the end of September 2022. Eaker’s previous NCAA Committee experience includes a four-year term on the NCAA Legislative Review and Interpretations Committee from 2012-2016; a four-year term on the NCAA Legislative Council from 2008-2012 and a one-year term on the NCAA Administration Cabinet in 2012-2013.
Prior to joining the ASUN staff, Eaker spent 12 years of her administrative career at Liberty University, beginning with overseeing the athletics compliance office for six years and closing out the remaining six years as the Associate AD/SWA. Eaker joined the ASUN, most recently, from Mercer University where served as the Assistant AD for Administrative Services.
During her time at Mercer, Eaker served as the sport supervisor for Men's & Women's Cross Country, Women's Track & Field and Women's Lacrosse, while also serving as the compliance administrator for those sports as well as Men's Soccer. Additionally, Eaker monitored and coordinated all outside rentals of Mercer's athletics facilities and spearheaded the athletics department's annual fundraiser.
While employed at Liberty University, Eaker became the third Senior Woman Administrator in the school's history, overseeing and managing nine sports programs; Softball, Women's Basketball, Women's Soccer, Men's and Women's Tennis, Volleyball, Women's Lacrosse, Women's Swimming and Field Hockey.
As Associate AD/SWA, Eaker was responsible for monitoring and enforcing Title IX, as it relates to scholarships, participation figures, personnel and facilities. She oversaw the Gender Equity and Minority Issues Athletics Committees, as well as monitored the implementation of plans to maintain the athletics department's NCAA Division I status.
Eaker served eight years as a member of Big South Conference Board of Directors, serving on the conference's Strategic Planning Committee, Championships Committee and also serving as the administrative liaison to both the Softball and Women's Basketball committees.
Eaker is a graduate from Liberty University with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and Fitness Programming and a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling. In 2010, Eaker became a graduate of the NACDA Sports Management Institute.
While a student at Liberty University, Eaker was a four-year member of the Lady Flames' softball team where she served as the team captain her junior and senior years. In 2000, she was named the Big South Player of the Year and the VaSID Co-Player of the Year. In 2014, Eaker was named to the Big South Conference All-Decade Softball team.
Eaker lives in Shawnee, Oklahoma with her husband Jason and their son Isaac Arrow.
