Meagan Edwards joined the ASUN Conference staff as a Championships Assistant in September 2017, was promoted to Director of Championships in July 2018 and was elevated once more to Assistant Commissioner of Championships in August 2021. She assumed her current position as Associate Commissioner of Championships in July 2022. In this role, Edwards oversees all ASUN Championship operations, coordinates the Conference’s awards program and is a member of the Commissioner’s Leadership Team. Previously the primary sport administrator for Tennis, Cross Country and Track and Field, Edwards now serves as the secondary administrator for Men’s and Women’s Basketball.
Prior to joining the league office, Edwards spent one year as the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations at Stetson University. At Stetson, Edwards was responsible for coordinating team travel, supervising student staff, overseeing equipment, supporting recruiting efforts and organizing a variety of special events. The Hatters finished the 2016-2017 season as the ASUN regular season champions.
Edwards arrived at Stetson after spending four seasons with the University of California, Berkeley women's basketball program. As the Assistant Director of Operations, Edwards managed the team’s equipment budget, served as co-camp director, handled administrative duties for the team's booster club and coordinated community outreach activities.
Edwards holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Florida. During her time in Gainesville, Edwards served as head manager for the Florida women's basketball team, volunteered with the University Athletic Association’s Marketing department and supported a variety of campus events as a student employee at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
A native of Dade City, Florida, Edwards now resides in Macon, Ga.
