Communications Contact: Softball, Women's Tennis, Beach Volleyball

Fasika Ishiyama was named Communication Assistant for the ASUN Conference in September of 2022.

Before joining the ASUN, she held the position of Volleyball coach for two years at South Texas Volleyball Academy in San Antonio while also helping run the club’s social media accounts. She improved the Tik Tok account and boosted engagement by 25.5k in 60 days.

Prior to coaching, she was an athletics communication intern for one year at her alma mater The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). She primarily worked with Volleyball, Softball, Men's and Women's Basketball, and Football. She had a hand at live tweeting games and editing graphics and Gifs.

While attending UTSA, she played two years of club Volleyball for the school and was on the executive board for three years of her spirit organization. She majored in Communication with a concentration in Digital Communication and Public Relations. She completed her bachelor’s degree in 2022.
