Communications Contact: Men's Soccer, Men's Lacrosse, Men's Basketball (Secondary)

Eric Hunt was named Assistant Director of Communications in March 2022 after joining the ASUN Conference as Communications Assistant in August 2021.

Before joining the Conference office, Hunt was a media relations graduate assistant at the University of the Incarnate Word where he served as the primary media contact for baseball, men’s basketball, men’s soccer, and both tennis programs. He revamped the team record books and served as the primary statistician for all UIW Athletics home events. Hunt also volunteered as a media coordinator at the 2021 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championships hosted by UIW and UTSA in San Antonio, Texas. 

Prior to UIW, Hunt was the athletics communications assistant for one year at his alma mater, Lycoming College, having a hand in the communication efforts of 18 Division III athletic programs. He also served as a sports writer for four years at the Williamsport Sun Gazette while completing his undergrad. There, he contributed to multiple Associated Press Sports Editor’s awards covering various high school and college events. Hunt also provided coverage of the Little League World Series, MLB Little League Classic games, and former Philadelphia Phillies’ Class A short-season affiliate Williamsport Crosscutters baseball. 

While a student at Lycoming College, he was a two-year member of the men’s wrestling team and earned his Bachelor’s in Corporate Communications in 2019. Hunt completed his Master’s degree in Sports Management at UIW in the fall of 2022.
