The Knights earned the program's first postseason victory and advanced to their second championship semifinal appearance against #1/No. 19 Utah on Friday at 1 PM ET.

    ATLANTA – Setting career and season-highs helped Jacksonville's Jacob Greiner and Bellarmine's Dante Batista earn the weekly ASUN Conference Men's Lacrosse awards. Greiner tallied a program-best 11 points with a career-high six goals and five assists to earn his first Player of the Week recognition. Batista recorded a season-best 14 saves including his final one in the last 30 seconds to preserve the Knights' one-point victory to claim his first Defensive Player of the Week nod.

    ATLANTA – A pair of first time ASUN Conference Men's Lacrosse weekly award winners had their names announced for the first time in their careers on Tuesday as the league office appointed Bellarmine's Christian Della Rocco the Player of the Week and Jacksonville's Troy Hettinger Defensive Player of the Week. Della Rocco tallied six goals and an assist to lead the Knights' to their fourth-straight victory. Hettinger tallied three caused turnovers, six ground balls and held one of the premier scorers in the nation scoreless in the Dolphins' 17-15 victory over High Point.

    LYNCHBURG, Va. - The rattle that rivaled Kawai Leonard's put #8 Bellarmine over the edge as the Knights' survived #7 North Florida, 76-74, in the ASUN Conference Men's Basketball Championship First Round on Monday night in the Liberty Arena in Lynchburg, Va. Juston Betz's game-winner with 0.4 seconds on the clock broke the seventh tie of the ballgame and advance to Tuesday night's matchup against #2 Liberty at 7 PM ET.

    ATLANTA – Jayden Hylton of Stetson (Player) and Nolan Pender of Bellarmine (Pitcher) are the first recipients of the ASUN Conference Baseball weekly accolades for 2023, announced Monday afternoon by the league office. Hylton helped the Hatters to a season-opening three-game sweep over Manhattan after batting 6-for-11 (.545 average) with two doubles and a home run while earning seven RBIs. Pender gathered a season-opening victory on the mound after a career-high 11 strikeouts on the road at New Mexico State.

She was joined by Gracie Merkle of Bellarmine who netted her ninth career Freshman of the Week selection after hitting 12-of-14 shots against Central Arkansas and North Alabama.

Birney (Player) claimed his first career honor after he scored a career-high five goals for his fifth career hat-trick in the season opener at VMI while Higginbotham (Defensive Player) collected a career-high 22 saves against eighth-ranked Duke.

    ATLANTA – The ASUN Conference office has announced its 2023 Men's Lacrosse Preseason All-Conference awards Wednesday as voted on by the league's ten head coaches. 2022 Championship Runner-Up, Utah Utes were selected as the top team entering the upcoming season with three first-place votes and 92 total points in the poll. The Utes were closely followed by Jacksonville who returns to the league for the first time since 2014 with four first-place votes and 90 total tallies as the team enters the 2023 season ranked 18th nationally in the USA Lacrosse Magazine preseason poll.

    ATLANTA - Bellarmine's Garrett Tipton and Stetson's Luke Brown earned the ASUN Conference Men's Basketball weekly honors, announced by the league office on Monday. Tipton took home his first Player of the Week honor after helping the Knights pick up two wins last week and averaging 22 points per game. Brown captured his second Newcomer of the Week honor this season after the Hatters went 3-0 on the week to remain undefeated in conference play this season.

    ATLANTA – Gracie Merkle of Bellarmine and Aleah Sorrentino of Lipscomb were highlighted for their performances on the hardwood in the latest edition of the ASUN Conference Women's Basketball weekly awards, announced Monday by the league office. Merkle was a dominant force on both sides of the ball as she was tabbed the Player and Freshman of the Week after averaging 18.5 points, 18.0 rebounds and 5.5 blocks during a 1-1 stretch for BU last week. Sorrentino put up an average of 12.7 points per game to go along with 7.7 rebounds as the Bisons beat Western Kentucky (84-66) and Oakwood (77-46).

    ATLANTA – The final set of ASUN Conference Women's Basketball weekly awards for November was sent out on Monday afternoon by the league office, and KayKay Hayes of Jacksonville was named the Player of the Week. She was joined by Kierra Prim of Central Arkansas (Newcomer) and Gracie Merkle of Bellarmine (Freshman) as honorees. Hayes averaged 24.5 points and 8.5 rebounds for her first Player of the Week accolade while helping the Dolphins to a 2-0 stretch. Prim heard her name called for the second-straight edition after registering a season-high 24 points while pulling down a career-best 18 rebounds against Hendrix, while Merkle compiled 18 points and 11 rebounds (Georgia State) with 11 tallies and 10 boards (Cleveland State) to secure her second selection of the year as well.
  • College Sports Communicators Announce 2022 Academic All-District® Men’s & Women's Soccer Teams

    ATLANTA – The 2022 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams were revealed Tuesday by College Sports Communicators, and a total of 50 ASUN Conference Soccer student-athletes were included on the lists. Bellarmine led the way with 12 selections, with six nods apiece coming from both Knight programs. Additionally, FGCU and Queens each had 10 recipients as well.

    ATLANTA – A trio of first-timers took home the initial 2022-23 ASUN Conference Women's Basketball weekly honors, announced Monday by the league office in Atlanta. Jalyn Holcomb of Lipscomb earned Player of the Week after she averaged 23 points per game last week against TCU, Northern Kentucky and Wilberforce. Newcomer of the Week went to Alyza Winston of FGCU after she collected 22 points against Old Dominion (81-62) and 19 tallies on the road at FIU (92-63) in a pair of wins. Gracie Merkle of Bellarmine rounded out the group as the Freshman of the Week after averaging 12.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks against No. 16 LSU and Purdue-Fort Wayne.
