JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Commissioner Jeff Bacon announced today the appointment of Korinth Patterson as the league’s new Executive Associate Commissioner for Sport Administration. In this role, Patterson will also serve as the conference’s Senior Woman Administrator (SWA).

"A hiring of this caliber showcases the ASUN/UAC as a premier destination for top-tier talent, and is a clear indicator of the momentum behind what our leagues are building," said Bacon. "Korinth’s background will immediately elevate our championships and services, and I couldn’t be more excited to welcome my friend and colleague to the team".

Patterson joins the ASUN following a distinguished 17-year tenure at the Mid-American Conference (MAC), where she most recently served as the Associate Commissioner for Championships and Sport Programs.  In addition to overseeing olympic sport championships and the MAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments, Patterson has served as the Tournament Director for several marquee NCAA events including the Division I Women's Final Four, the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament First and Second Rounds, the NCAA DI Wrestling Championships, and the NCAA Bowling Championships.

In her role at the ASUN, Patterson will oversee all sports and championships outside of Football and Basketball and will serve as the primary liaison to the Council of Senior Woman Administrators. Patterson will also lead strategic initiatives for event enhancements, and will drive operational excellence across all conference sports to ensure alignment with the ASUN’s long-term strategic goals.

"I am honored to join the Atlantic Sun Conference and thankful to Commissioner Jeff Bacon for this opportunity," said Patterson. "The ASUN represents a dynamic and forward thinking group of members, and I am excited to contribute to the conference’s continued growth and success while supporting our student-athletes and member institutions".

Before her time at the MAC, Patterson served as the Director of Life Skills and Special Events at Indiana University. A former track and field student-athlete at Ball State University, she holds an MBA in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University.
