Jacksonville and Austin Peay Set to Faceoff in ASUN Women's Basketball Tournament Final

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The 2026 Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Women's Basketball Championship is set for Monday, March 9 with the No. 8 seed Austin Peay taking on the No. 2 seed Jacksonville at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. Tipoff is slated for 5 p.m. ET with coverage available on ESPNU.

#8 Austin Peay 68, #4 Stetson 52
Austin Peay earned its spot in the tournament championship game with a 68–52 victory over Stetson on March 7 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. Austin Peay led from start to finish, taking an 18–17 advantage after the first quarter and extending the lead to 38–35 at halftime. The Governors continued to control the game in the second half, outscoring Stetson 22–10 in the fourth quarter to secure the 16-point win. The Governors built a lead as large as 21 points in the fourth quarter and never trailed in the contest. Austin Peay shot 40 percent from the field (26-of-65), including 11 three-pointers, while holding Stetson to 32 percent shooting (16-of-50). Four Governors finished in double figures; Mya Williams led the way with 12 points while Jade Rucker and Kyra Perkins each added 11. Anovia Sheals also finished with 11 points and Jim’Miyah Branton chipped in 10. Austin Peay built its advantage through balanced scoring and perimeter shooting, converting 11-of-33 attempts from beyond the arc. #2 Jacksonville 67, #3 Central Arkansas 58
Jacksonville defeated Central Arkansas, 67–58, on Saturday at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena to advance to the Tournament Final. Jacksonville led from start to finish, opening the game with a 21-point first quarter and taking a 21–14 advantage after the opening period. The Dolphins extended their lead in the second quarter, outscoring Central Arkansas 14–11 to carry a 10-point lead into halftime. Central Arkansas attempted to rally in the third quarter, posting a 20–16 edge in the period to cut into the deficit. Jacksonville answered in the fourth, scoring 16 points to Central Arkansas’ 13 to secure the 67–58 victory. Jacksonville shot 23-of-57 (40 percent) from the field and 3-of-12 (25 percent) from three-point range while converting 18-of-26 (69 percent) at the free-throw line. The Dolphins also held advantages in points in the paint (30–26), fast-break points (12–9) and second-chance points (15-9). Central Arkansas finished the game shooting 18-of-63 (29 percent) from the field and 5-of-29 (17 percent) from beyond the arc, while going 17-of-20 (85 percent) at the free-throw line. Monday's game will be the Dolphins first ASUN Women's Basketball Championship appearance since the 2017-18 season.
