Bellarmine Sweeps Men's Lacrosse Weekly Accolades



JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Bellarmine's John Alie and Matt Kirton earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Men's Lacrosse awards, announced Monday by the league office.

Alie totaled nine goals and four assists for 13 points between two games on the road at Cleveland State and at home against Detroit Mercy. He tied a Bellarmine program record with a career-high six goals against the Vikings. The junior tied his career high with two assists in both contests. Kirton caused five turnovers and picked up nine ground balls across both games. He caused three turnovers and scooped six ground balls against UDM which were career-highs in both categories. The Centennial, Colo., native keyed a Knights defense that held the Titans scoreless over the final 46 minutes.
