Central Arkansas Dominates Eastern Washington in 92-65 Victory

CONWAY, Ark. — Central Ark. (2-4, 0-0 ASUN) secured a decisive victory over Eastern Wash. (1-5, 0-0 Big Sky), winning 92-65 on Saturday night at the Farris Center.

Central Ark. capitalized on Eastern Wash.'s turnovers, scoring 38 points off turnovers and recording 14 steals.

The game began with Central Arkansas gaining an early advantage, opening a 6-0 lead with a tip-in by Malchiah Marable at the 19:05 mark. Central Arkansas's defense caused problems for Eastern Washington, forcing 13 turnovers in the half. By the 16:37 mark, Harrison Beauchamp hit a 3-pointer, assisted by Ty Robinson, extending the home team's lead to 11-0. Eastern Washington managed to close the gap with a layup from Stratton Rogers at 14:22 and a 3-pointer by Johnny Radford at 9:52. However, Central Arkansas maintained control, leading 45-27 by the end of the first half, capped by a Camren Hunter free throw with 1:59 left.

Central Arkansas extended its lead early in the second half with a quick 7-0 run, highlighted by Hunter's layup at 19:00 and Robinson's three-pointer at 17:57. Eastern Washington struggled to maintain possession, with multiple turnovers leading to Central Arkansas steals. Hunter continued to contribute significantly, scoring consistently in the paint, while Cole McCormick added a fast-break three-pointer at 06:54. Despite a late scoring effort from Eastern Washington, Central Arkansas maintained control, closing out the half with a 47-38 advantage.
