ATLANTA - Lipscomb's Will Holan was tabbed the Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year, announced Monday by the league office. Holan was joined by four other Men's Golf student-athletes on the 2024 Academic All-ASUN Team.
Holan was selected as the Scholar-Athlete of the Year and made an appearance on the Academic All-ASUN Team for the first time in his career after posting a 4.00 GPA while pursuing a degree in Business Administration. The Edmonton, Alberta native holds a stroke average of 70.5 this season and earned medalist honors at two tournaments, including the 2024 ASUN Championship. The graduate posted a 6-under 210 in Dothan at the RTJ Highland Oaks course and won in a playoff hole with a birdie. In the final round, he recorded a tournament-low round of 66 (6-under).
The Academic All-ASUN Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the court and in the classroom and exemplify the ASUN's mission of Building Winners for Life. All the members of the team boast a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's games.
