ATLANTA - For the second time in North Florida program history, Smilla Kolbe was named the 2024 Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Indoor Track and Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year, announced Tuesday by the league office.
Kolbe holds a perfect cumulative 4.00 GPA as a Psychology and Criminal Justice major. At the ASUN Conference Championship meet, Kolbe finished second in the 800m and placed fifth overall in the 400m. She was part of UNF's DMR team that recorded a fifth-place finish and ran a leg of the 1600m Relay team that placed sixth overall.
The Academic All-ASUN Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the track and in the classroom and exemplify the ASUN's mission of Building Winners for Life. All the members of the team boast a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's games.
