JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Atlantic Sun Conference Hall of Fame announced its newest inductees who are four individuals that left an incredible mark on both their universities and the league. The ASUN Hall of Fame's 10th induction class of FIU's Moira Dunn-Bohls, FGCU's Sarah Hansen, Stetson's Victoria McGowan and Jacksonville's Sarah Caffrey join the other 41 individuals which comprise the conference's first nine classes. The annual induction ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, May 29, 2025, in Jacksonville, Fla.
Moira Dunn-Bohls
FIU | 1991-94 (Women's Golf)
Moira Dunn-Bohls was a two-time All-American in 1993 and 94 while a member of the FIU golf team. She earned First Team All-ASUN four times and was a three-time medalist/Golfer of the Year in the TAAC. She finished second in the 1994 conference championship, the only year that she did not win the event. She turned professional in August 1994 when she qualified for the Tour at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, where she tied for 20th to earn exempt status for the 1995 season. In 2001 she earned her career best winnings while playing in 24 tournaments. That year, her best finish was a second place showing at the Wendy’s Championship for Children at New Albany and the First Union Betsy King Classic. Three years later, she picked up her first tournament win, firing a 12-under par, 204, to capture the 2004 Giant Eagle LPGA Classic.
Sarah Hansen
FGCU | 2009-14 (Women's Basketball)
Sarah Hansen, who was named to the ASUN's All-Decade Team after a highly-successful career at FGCU, is the program's all-time scoring leader with 1,901 career points. The most decorated player in the Eagles' history, she was twice named the ASUN's Player of the Year and nabbed one conference Tournament MVP honor while being named to the All-Tournament squad three times. After being named to the ASUN's All-Freshman team, the guard went on to become FGCU's only four-time All-ASUN selection, and she was named to the First Team three times. On top of that, she was a five-time ASUN Player of the Week and a three-time Newcomer of the Week. Hansen led FGCU to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances, including the program's first-ever at the Division I level in 2012. To this day, she holds the program's career records for points, field goals made, field goals attempted, free throws made, steals, games started and minutes played.
Victoria McGowan
Stetson | 2010-13 (Women's Basketball)
Victoria McGowan had an illustrious career at Stetson, marked by exceptional performances and numerous accolades. Over three seasons, she scored 1,532 points, becoming the fourth-highest scorer in school history and the only player with over 1,500 points, 400 assists, and 200 steals. As a junior in 2011-2012, she was named ASUN Player of the Year and earned First Team All-Conference honors, averaging 16.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. She led the NCAA with three triple-doubles and was a four-time ASUN Player of the Week. In her senior year, she continued to excel, earning First Team ASUN All-Conference and ASUN All-Tournament Team honors, along with three ASUN Player of the Week selections. Her leadership helped Stetson secure another ASUN Championship and a No. 14 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Her contributions to the team and her individual achievements earned her a spot on the ASUN All-Decade Team in 2020.
Sarah Sigrest Caffrey
Jacksonville | 2009-12 (Softball)
One of Jacksonville Softball's best pitchers, Sarah Sigrest Caffrey is the program's leader in wins (63) after pitching over 700 innings in 135 appearances for the Dolphins. She is second in program history with 613 strikeouts and holds both the most and second most strikeouts in a single season record at JU with 214 in 2012 and 208 in 2011. She also recorded 134 strikeouts in 2009, good for 10th most in a single season in program history. In 2011, she recorded the lowest season ERA in program history with a 1.10 which was a league low as well that same year. In that same season, she broke the school record for wins in a single season with 27, which is good for ninth most in ASUN history in a single year. She was named the league’s Pitcher of the Year in 2011 after landing on the ASUN All-Freshman Team in 2009.
