JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Alabama's Brian Bett earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Cross Country honors, announced Wednesday by the league office.
Bett earned both Runner of the Week and Freshman of the Week honors after a top-15 finish at the Gans Creek Classic hosted by Missouri. He finished 12th in a field of over 320 while snuggled in between power-five runners inside that top-15. Not only did he finish that high, but he also shattered his previous record by nearly 36 seconds with a time of 23:26.4. These records had stood for over two years before Bett came to North Alabama.
