ATLANTA, Ga. - The ASUN Conference's Lunch Box series, hosted by Director of Social Media Kendrell Watkins, continues for the 2020-21 season. In the series, Watkins catches up with coaches and student-athletes throughout the academic year. July 31 | FGCU's Amanda Carroll & North Florida's Sydney Shrader
This week's episode features the ASUN Conference's representatives for the NCAA Woman of the Year award. FGCU Volleyball's Amanda Carroll and North Florida Golfer Sydney Shrader. Carroll, a dual-sport athlete in Volleyball and Beach Volleyball, carries a 3.94 GPA as a graduate student while accumulating over 80 hours of community service. Shrader graduated from North Florida with a 3.83 GPA majoring in Sport Management in addition to being named to the ASUN All-Academic Team in 2019.

The two representatives talk about their community service involvement as well as their childhood introduction into sports. With both overcoming high school injuries, Carroll and Shrader speak on the decline of women in sports as they matriculate through high school. Shrader also shares her secret easy mac and cheese recipe.
