Ties will be broken using the following criteria, in descending order:

(a) Head-to-head. Compare tied teams’ (two or more) win-loss percentage vs. all teams involved in the tie.

(b) Compare tied teams’ win-loss percentage vs. the top ranked team (or teams as a group in the event that they are tied), descending to the next highest placed team(s) until an advantage is gained. If an advantage is gained in a tiebreaker of three or more teams, that team or teams is pulled out, and the remaining tied teams start back at step 1. If more than one team is pulled out, that set of teams would also start back at step 1.

(c) Goal differential of the tied teams in all conference games. The team with the best goal differential is removed from the tie and becomes the higher seed. Head-to-head competition between the two remaining teams will determine the next higher seed. If all teams involved in a tie did not compete against each other an equal amount of times (cancelled games due to weather, etc.) then this will be skilled and the tie-breaker shall move to d.

(d) RPI as published the first day after the conclusion of ASUN regular season play.
