Carl Mattox joined the Atlantic Sun Conference in July 2024 as Assistant Commissioner for Sport Administration after spending the previous eight years at the Sun Belt Conference.
At the Sun Belt, Mattox worked in the Championships department from 2022 to 2024. While there he was responsible for assisting championship administration and operations of all Sun Belt Championship events while working with coaches, officials, campus administration, and the league’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Mattox is a graduate of Mars Hill University with a degree in Business Administration and a master's in management in 2018. He then went on to receive a master's in business administration from The Langdale College of Business in May of 2022. He was a four-year football student-athlete from 2013 to 2016 at Mars Hill and a native of Athens, Georgia.
