JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Lipscomb and Central Arkansas earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Baseball honors, announced Monday by the league office.
Lipscomb's Cam Pruitt was named Player of the Week. He recorded a .438 batting average and notched seven RBI on the week. The junior had a 1.100 OPS with 11 total bases including a double and a home run. UCA's Denver Hamilton was named Pitcher of the Week. Hamilton struck out 12 batters in his appearance against Austin Peay in which the Bears shutout the Govs 8-0. In his seven innings pitched, he allowed just two hits and walked only one batter.
